A design graduate (1994), i turned to clay immediately as I entered college. After a year at the Kanoria Centre for arts , Ahmedabad (1995) I trained at Golden Bridge Pottery learning production pottery (1997). This is also where i learnt a lot of valuable lessons of life. The time spent at GBP, Pondicherry is unforgettable.
Fortunate to have had some of the finest teachers including Jyotsna Bhatt, Nirmala Patwardhan, Ray Meekar and Deborah Smith, I was able to turn my fascination for clay into a full fledged profession.
Residencies in France(2000), United Kingdom (2003) and Bangalore (2008) became milestones in my own practice; nudging me forward as I explored the wonderful medium of ceramics. Over the years my interactions with fellow artists, contributions from my teachers along with my travels have fuelled my work and helped me evolve.
